In the event of a disaster (weather or man made), the Buffalo Co. A.R.E.S. Will organize through the members of the A.R.E.S. group.
One, The Emergency coordinator or A.E.C. will find out who is available to respond and with what (i.e. vehicle, radio, other equipment). WRITE IT DOWN.
Two, The EC or A.E.C. will then contact the Kearney/Buffalo County Emergency Operations Center and ask the Emergency Manager or their designee if the Buffalo Co. A.R.E.S. Services are needed.
Three, If the services of the A.R.E.S. are needed the following information will be passed to the Emergency Manager or designee:
A, How many amateurs are available.
B, Amateurs with vehicles available.
C, Additional equipment available.
Four, The Kearney/Buffalo County Emergency Manager, or designee will make assignments for the Buffalo Co. A.R.E.S. too carry out.
Five, Operations of the Good Samaritan Hospital amateur radio will be at the discretion of the Buffalo Co. A.R.E.S. Communications coordinator and/or the Emergency Manager of the Hospital.
Six, All emergency operations of the Buffalo Co. A.R.E.S. will be coordinated through the Kearney/Buffalo County Emergency Management Office A.R.E.S. Coordinator by the EC or A.E.C. for Buffalo Co. A.R.E.S.
